The Value of an Identity Theft Protection Program for Your Good Name

Okay…Getting a little bit aggravated at credit card fraud and our bank accounts suspended because of suspicious activity after the fact!!!
Really…the bank should catch that, as well as the stores we shop in…that’s why we have photos on our debit/check cards, signatures on the back, etc. etc. etc.
Just this week, we had one of our accounts on hold…I wonder if the people that do these things are actually caught…
We’ve even had our credit card information hacked off of another website…Their entire system got hacked…They only charged about $15 from our account, but still…It’s a worry!
I’ve been seeing a lot of information from lifelock reviews while “stumbling” around the net, and I think it’s worth looking into to protect your identity. Plus, I’ve seen that commercial where the CEO of the company puts his Social Security # on the side of a truck, and a reporter tries to open up accounts with it, and was unable to…Pretty brave, but, hey, it worked! That was impressive to me…
Lifelock says they’ll guarantee your identity up to $1,000,000.00. This includes people using your birth certificate, passport, driver’s license, social security #, credit cards, etc. etc. etc…That’s kind of comforting to me…We live on the internet, have our information all over the internet, and we are shopping more and more online!
Not to mention, offline…I had to clean up my credit report because someone had opened up an account for their cable under my name and didn’t pay it…Yeah…A lot of fun dealing with them! I can certainly see where the value of life lock would come into play.
We are certainly going to consider signing up with LifeLock, so I did a little bit of digging online for a discount…
LOL…Actually, on their blog, they have lifelock promo codes for your convenience. It looked to me like the best one to use was promotion code RD32 - It gives you 30 days free and an “exclusive discount”…
Currently LifeLock boasts that they are America’s #1 theft prevention program. We are probably going to do this ourselves! It’s getting necessary and annoying to deal with these “problems” on our credit and suspending of accounts. Not cool at all!
Just wanted to share this with you since I’ve been doing a little research…

Ain’t that the truth. Identity theft is huge, especially online. We need all the protection we can get these days.
The big kicker is that many times there’s so much red tape in trying to recover your money.
I think prevention is the “cure” for identity theft.
Hey Kimmy thanks for the info and the post..
