Airport personnel are NOT careful with your luggage.
It seems that EVERY time I check my bags, when I receive them off the plane, they are so much worse for the wear!
It is really annoying…I bought new luggage since the straps and zippers on my old bags were damaged, not to mention the wheels and the retractable handle on my large rolling suitcase. Unbelievable!
…And I’m not even telling you about the terrible scrapes, scuffs and stains.
When you purchase new luggage, be sure it’s of good quality, durable material. A name brand like Samsonite or Delsey luggage is a great direction to start in. I’ve heard they clean up well and hold up even better than most brands…
I’m especially partial to the hard-sided luggage. It seems to be lightweight, durable and easier to clean off.
Most of all, don’t ever “fall in love” with your bags…You’ll just be disappointed when your beautiful set of turquoise luggage comes out striped like a zebra with grease!
