OMGoodness!
While watching Dancing with the Stars tonight, I just heard that Misty May-Treanor ruptured her Achilles tendon during rehearsal this week.
If you don’t know Misty May, she is 2-time Olympic gold medalist in pairs Beach Volleyball!
She goes into surgery tomorrow to reattach the Achilles tendon and start rehab thereafter.
Misty mentioned that if an injury were to happen, this would have been the perfect time, as she was going to take some time off this year anyway.
She is happy to be able to spend some more time with her husband this year and relax.
It is sad that she has to withdraw from the Dancing with the Stars competition, as she was doing a great job, but, in my opinion, she should be more concerned about getting back on the volleyball court!
As fellow athletes, we wish her the best and she will be in our thoughts and prayers.
