I received a “Stumble” from a friend today regarding Rhinoplasty.

If you don’t know what this is, basically, it is plastic surgery on your nose or typically nicknamed a “nose job”.

I thought it was kind of “commercial” to send this to me and I was about to click off the site, but as I quickly looked through the site, just out of curiosity, as I don’t know much about this topic, I learned that there are a number of different types of nasal reconstruction.

Primary Rhinoplasty is the very first time a person undergoes nasal reconstruction, for whatever reason, be it aesthetic or for functionality to breathe better, etc.

I read on this site, that the members of this Institute, including Dr. Azizzadeh, travel to 3rd world countries to perform life-altering cleft-lip and cleft-rhinoplasty surgeries, giving back to the community.

Next, Revision Rhinoplasty is a procedure to correct the nasal construction from a previous surgery, either because another doctor made an error, the nose needs more work done, or the person is unhappy with the first “look”.

It’s important to have a balanced, natural looking nose that pleases you!

A lot of people feel they need Ethnic Rhinoplasty, either to make their nose look less similar to their particular race’s features, or to make them look more similar to their own ethnicity’s features.

Anyway, what I thought was cool too is that Dr. Azizzadeh has been featured on Oprah’s show…Apparently, he is a board-certified, Harvard trained, facial plastic surgeon, and he is also the director of The Institute for Rhinoplasty & Nasal Reconstruction.

I certainly would want a well-qualified individual to be in charge if I ever had to do something like this…Sheesh!

Anyway, I’ve bookmarked this page if ever I need to send it to someone that wants this type of information.
