American Idol Kansas City Auditions

Wow, there are some really talented people that came out of Kansas City auditions this year on American Idol! That’s for sure!

There were some serious duds too though. I just didn’t get the guy with the medal on from elementary school singing his “original” songs. I agreed with Simon though…the first song didn’t sound like a song a son would sing to his mother.

The poor guy with the cheerleaders. He wasn’t half bad, if he would have just cut down on his “theatrical” performance of the songs. I agree that the cheerleaders didn’t help, but they didn’t really hurt him either. They were just about to let him through to Hollywood, until Paula asked him to sing 10 more seconds of a song; that’s when he lost his golden ticket!

I can’t get over how many people are coming through with some great talent this year. 2 cities down, and I think they already have 147 people going, if I understood what they said correctly. That’s crazy!

Who did I like last night?

Well, I loved the very last girl that sang with the family in the motel, and I really liked the band major too! Anoop was surprisingly fabulous. Sheesh…there were so many, I couldn’t say.

Hollywood is going to be some serious competition this year! Really tough for those who will crumble under the pressure! The others…well, pressure makes diamonds!
