The fact that we’re never promised tomorrow is so pertinent to us all…and are words to live by.
One of my friends from high school, at 32 yrs old, had an anneurism on Friday and passed away, leaving her 2 children and husband behind…She was a school teacher and a really sweet person!
You just never know…you are not promised tomorrow…
So, make things right today with the people in your life, and live as though you may not have any more tomorrows to live!

Apparently, until now, if you had ever accumulated pension funds in the past working in the UK and then moved abroad, it was Lost UK Pension or Frozen UK Pension (best case scenario).

Does life seem difficult at times?
Have you faced pain that you never thought you’d get through?

We know this to be false… Although we have HOPE! That is the difference.
We have a God that stands in the gap for us so that we can overcome our problems, our pains, or hurt. We have a God that loves us and provides for us. We have a God that comforts us in our time of trouble and doesn’t abandon us.
We have a God that saves us, and gives us the strength to get through it. We have a God that is mighty and who does hear our prayers and delivers us from our enemies.
That is our difference…
It doesn’t mean that there won’t be trials.
It doesn’t mean that there won’t be tests.
It doesn’t mean that there won’t be tribulations.
As you know, Kenney and I split time in Niagara Falls, Ontario and Dallas, Texas, and I am so excited about a find I made online a few days ago…
The Mom & PopCORN Co. is a gourmet popcorn and old fashioned candy store in McKinney, Texas – a suburb of Dallas ran by Kim & Tim – apparently, two of the nicest people you could meet.
I hope to go back down in a few weeks and can’t wait to stop in and check them out!
Why?
…Because they have over 45 flavors of gourmet popcorn and popcorn gift tins, all the old fashioned candy you can get your hands on…
…You know, the kind of place that has that nostalgic feel with hard wooded walls, barrels of taffy and crystallized sugar candy!
Oooh…ahhh!
There’s nothing like taking a trip down memory lane to enjoy some of your childhood faves that you can’t often find anywhere else, including those old-fashioned bottled sodas! Yum!!!
Also, I love the story that goes behind this fabulous couple that runs this. Kim had a nearly fatal accident that caused her to be bedridden for 8 months, in which time Tim had to quit his job to care for her. Once recovered, Kim and Tim agreed that life is too short not to enjoy what you’re doing and fulfill your dreams.
So, a few months after she recovered, they sold their house and poured it into this business only to find great success. What a great story!
This sounds like a great “retreat” for a sunny weekend with the kids or just for the big kids like us!
