Are you tired of your old look, but love your decorating pieces?

Want new decor, but can’t afford it?

Here’s the Secret:
Try spray paint on your pieces you already own, let’s say, in a flat black spray paint or a faux oil-rubbed bronze (or whatever color you like) and you have brand new accent pieces.

How about finding discount pieces at your local stores – even if they’re not the right color – spray paint them!

Then, you’ll have all new pieces that match…

Last week, we went around the neighborhood, as we are preparing to stage one of our properties, and checked out the large things they are throwing out for Spring cleaning.

I brought back an antique desk that looked in bad shape and with a leg broken off. I sanded it down, wood glued the leg back on and spray painted the entire thing black – it is absolutely fabulous.

The same went for a great book shelf, as well as mismatched flower pots, a lighting fixture for the front porch and an old fire grate – they’re all matching now and look spectacular!

I sprayed them with a bronze paint underneath, then just splotched the black spray paint on top – awesome effect.

When choosing lighting fixtures for the property, they were very expensive and we couldn’t find the oil-rubbed bronze color we wanted, so we bought some discount brass lights with a great design and I spray painted them. They’re terrific and match all the hardware in the property!

I love $0.99 cans of spray paint…Try it out for yourself.
