Be an Encouragement to a Lymphoma Patient

We received an email this week from Chris, one of our networking friends, and we wanted to share it with you on Cancer Info Today!

Please read on, and be an encouragement!

***

Chris Zavadowski here with a very personal update and request for my Dad…

You may have realized that I’ve been “quieter” on the blog and with my emails for much of this year. There’s a good reason for that. And it’s time let you know why…

http://www.mlmblog.com/personal-cancer-update.html

Toward the beginning of this year my Dad, Rich Zavadowski (one of my close friends), became very ill…so bad that he had to stay home from work.

After almost 3 months of testing, biopsies and baffling the doctors, we finally got word that he has a rare T-cell lymphoma (a highly aggressive stage IV cancer).

Because this is such a rare cancer, his best treatment option ended up being an experimental chemotherapy regimen at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It’s a rougher chemo administered over 5 days each cycle…for 4 months.

Chances are you or a loved one have been touched by cancer, so you know first-hand how emotional and scary this journey is for an entire family.

That’s where YOU (and my personal favor) come in…

Years ago, when my Mom was fighting breast cancer, I asked for your help and support to send her kind words. With a great dose of humanity and understanding, my subscribers flooded her inbox with prayers, support and kind words that brought many smiles and helped her face the surgeries, treatment and the unknown.

Today, just like I did with her years ago, I’d like to ask you to leave a comment on my blog with an inspirational thought or ‘get well’ message for my Dad, Rich Zavadowski.

==> http://www.mlmblog.com/personal-cancer-update.html

I’m going to print the comments off and put them in a “Happy Thoughts” binder I’ve created for him to chronicle the outpouring of support (and emails) we’ve been receiving from family and friends online. Your kind words posted here will go directly into this special book for him.

Check out the full story (and see a pic of us) here: http://www.mlmblog.com/personal-cancer-update.html

Thanks in advance for this personal favor and for your understanding…

Warmly,

Chris Zavadowski :)

P.S. - With cancer and the drugs he’s on, there are some very tense, depressing days, so when he’s a little down or needs a “pick me up” to get his head back in the right place, he can just turn to these comments page and see how much positive energy is coming his way.

It’ll help give him strength for when he beats this cancer and returns back to a normal life!

***

I encourage you to head over there to send some encouraging thoughts for Chris’ dad! Thank you!

I hope you enjoyed this Lymphoma post on Cancer Info Today! Until next time…

Be Encouraged,

Kimberly Edwards :)

I’m Running 5 km in the BRIGHT Run for Breast Cancer Research

Cancer Newsflash:

That’s right! I’m going to do it Saturday, September 6th!

I’m going to put a little effort and sweat into raising some money for Breast Cancer Research in Hamilton.

Every little bit helps!

The Juravinski Cancer Centre’s Breast Disease Site Team hosts the inaugural Bright Run/Walk to support breast cancer research in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

BRIGHT stands for Breast Cancer Research in Greater Hamilton Today and underscores the commitment the JCC’s Breast Disease Site Team has to its patients through treatment and leading-edge research. In fact, the JCC is home to many renowned researchers whose work in clinical trials and health services research has improved and advanced the treatment of breast cancer patients locally, nationally and around the world.

BRIGHT Run participants will have the option of walking or running along the beautiful Rail Trail. Walkers can choose a 1km or 5km route and runners can choose a 5km or 10km route. There will also be many activities at the Trail Centre for participants of all ages to enjoy. Best of all, proceeds from the BRIGHT Run will benefit the JCC’s Breast Cancer Research Program.

All monies raised will stay in Hamilton and be used specifically at the Juravinski Regional Cancer Centre for breast cancer research. None of the funds will go into the Toronto program. Also - all radiation treatments for the Niagara area is done at JCC.

Why Would I Run?
My Mother is a 2 1/2 yr breast cancer survivor, and was treated in Hamilton with radiation. I am so very blessed to have my mother still with us, as we know all too well how serious cancer can be, as we lost my father to a rare cancer, the same week we found out mom’s diagnosis.

Potential Treatments Lay in Women’s Stem Cells

Firstly, have you ever heard of C’Elle? I hadn’t heard of it until a few weeks ago, and I was stopped in my tracks, literally!

Basically, it is revolutionary! It’s a new way to collect non-controversial, potentially life-saving stem cells that could be used for either future health problems with yourself, or family members of blood relation with the use of the cells harvested from menstrual blood.

This is exclusive to C’Elle and the scientific study was recently published in the prestigious Journal of Cell Transplantation. Click the link to find out About the Science of it all.

Depending upon technology, so many diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Stroke, MS, and Parkinson’s, just to name a few, could be treated with stem cells.

Okay, you’ve heard of stem cell research before and all of the awful stigma surrounding it, right? Questionable sources, difficulty of collection and safety as well…

Well, as I said earlier, this is a non-controversial way of collecting stem cells…

“How?”, you may ask…

Well, it is safely collected in the comfort of your own home yourself from menstrual blood. The kit is easy to use, not painful and collection can be done in privacy…on your own terms…

What is it About Menstrual Blood that Makes This Possible?

C’elle menstrual stem cells have been shown to demonstrate the ability to differentiate into other cell types such as heart muscle, cartilage, nerve and bone stem cells.

This not only means that many of the diseases I listed above could be cured or treated in yourself or loved ones, but there are also many other cosmeceutical uses, such as anti-aging and wound-healing.

What is AMAZING is that menstrual cells match 100% the woman who donated them, and would possibly match her first degree relatives - for example, her children, parents, siblings…

Why This Stopped Me in My Tracks…

We lost my father 2 years ago to a very rare cancer…My mother was diagnosed with cancer the same week we lost my father…

So, my reason for being so intrigued lies in the health of my parents, my future children, and my sisters…

If there is a possibility to be able to help my loved ones, or possibly myself in the future, from suffering a terrible disease, then this would all be worth it!!!

I have seen the effects of Parkinson’s in my grandfather, Diabetes in my husband’s grandad, Alzheimer’s in my uncle and grandmother’s husband…Tough to watch loved ones suffer needlessly if there is something, anything, that we could do to help!

Watch this video testimonial for another woman’s reason: C’elle Client Testimonial

Sounds like it could be pricey, Right?

Well, C’Elle has a limited-time offer, “Caring is Sharing”, whereby which you can purchase C’elle and receive a FREE C’elle service to gift to your best friend or loved one. Check it out here: C’elle
