The same is true with my family…My father had colon cancer in 1991, which recurred one more time a few years later. Then, in 2004, he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma – an aggressive cancer that affects little children in their extremities.

My father passed away in 2006, and that same week, we found out my mother had breast cancer. Unbelievable.

It seems to be getting more and more prevalent. My aunt and uncle were diagnosed within a few weeks of each other about 2 months ago now too.

Leukemia, thyroid cancer, cancer of the pancreas, liver, bladder, stomach, and the list goes on.

How about from environmental and industrial factors like mesothelioma. The thing with this type of cancer is that you have some way to sue for damages.

Mesothelioma is linked to dealing with asbestos. Terrible, isn’t it?

If you have been affected by this type of cancer, you should try to find a Mesothelioma lawyer that specializes in this type of situation.

However, when I travel with my laptop bag, it seems to be more of a burden than a convenience.

It is so very heavy and bulky! I dread having to carry that, a backpack and my purse onto the plane. Getting from terminal to terminal is brutal with it strapped over your shoulder.

I need to look into netbooks for short trips when traveling.

They are quite a bit smaller, lighter, lower in cost and more energy efficient than laptops…

…and smaller means a smaller bag for it too! Yeah! It may even fit in my purse…

They are great if you need something to access email, instant messaging and internet browsing. Plus, they come with USB ports for all of your peripheral needs!

Might be a good fit for you too!

Not just because you can see how many restaurants are run, how clean they are, etc., but Gordon Ramsay is absolutely so blunt and honest that it’s all the things you’re thinking in your head, but wouldn’t want to say to keep from shocking everyone!

However, I have not seen Gordon lose his cool for no apparent reason.

When bad food is being served, and I mean rotten, old, stinky stuff, not only the flavor, he loses his mind, and rightly so! People could get really sick from many of these horror stories they serve us at restaurants.

Last night, the chef, Pinto, at Cafe 36, was ridiculous. He felt that cooking a lot of stuff, then freezing it, then “slow thawing” it in water in the walk-in fridge, then heating it up again and serving it to you was upscale French Bistro fare…NOT in any stretch of the imagination is this fresh or tasty! Pinto called this “Fresh Frozen”…What?

I mean seriously! I’m glad the owners really worked things out and made things work…they were so sweet!

From the first 10 minutes of the show, I was telling my hubby that they’d be better of making the sous chef, Barney, the head chef, as he seemed much more communicative, open to suggestions and change!

…And “Presto, Change-o”, Pinto walked out on them the day after the show was finished, and they promoted Barney! Yeah Barney!

Although Gordon Ramsay seems like such a big, bad bear when it comes to food and the restaurant biz, he is such a big teddy bear when it all comes right down to it. He truly wants to help these people, he makes it personal, and he is the first person to tell you you did a great job, if you did!

We send Blessings to Cafe 36 and hope that things make a huge turnaround, care of Gordon! He rocks!

So, as you know, I’ve been trying to educate myself, and our readers, about what is going on with all of these meds and what the heck they are!

Have you heard about how a Colorado University football fan displayed his terrible sportsmanship?

I guess the CU fan figured that Oklahoma State would be a tough opponent with their fantastic offense, so they figured they’d bring a laser to the game, just in case…

Oklahoma State’s quarterback, Zac Robinson, was blinded by the laser before a 3rd & 9 snap in the 2nd quarter and cost them the time out.

What Happened?
A 29-yard touchdown pass from Robinson to Bryant to put them up 13-0…which happens to be the number of points they won by in the 30-17 point game.

Apparently, that fan has never been a real athlete…Sheesh! That act is just so ignorant, it can’t even be explained. So very ugly and unsportsmanlike! I hope they never attend another football game again!

Maybe he should just become a fan of reality shows…low-down, dirty deeds…

Okay, on the night of election, we would get small news broadcasts in between the events.

I guess we were watching a Seattle station, where they were covering a story about a brand new casino opening up in the area.

The newscaster was asking the people, waiting in lines in their cars and in person to get in the casino on that opening night, whether the current economic crisis has deterred them from spending money gambling, or if it will in the near future.

They happened to ask a group of ladies that appeared to be in their 50s this question.

The one lady spoke up right away, and exclaimed that it hasn’t and will not deter her from gambling…She said, “Oh Honey, I’m on unemployment and won’t let it stop me!”

Am I the only person that is rubbed the wrong way with this comment?

Not only are we assisting her on unemployment by paying out taxes, but she is going to the casino to gamble it away…Wow…I’m not even eager to go, being employed, to the casino to waste money…

I guess it’s not only this fact, but that she was so gung-ho and blaze about it, like it was no big deal at all…Sheesh! Maybe it’s just me…???
