Do NOT Use Your Toothbrush Again Until You Read This!

Sunstar Butler Gum Toothbrush Ortho V 12/pk - Model 124pd

This is an AWESOME tip! I love this! I am always concerned about the germs and bacteria on things, especially my toothbrush!

Since it’s a moist surface for gross germs and bacteria to attach themselves to, especially since it’s sitting out in the open air, you MUST sterilize it before you use it!

Okay, maybe you don’t have to do it every time, but at least twice per week, you should put your toothbrush in Continue Reading…

Ever Wonder Why Feather Pillows Get Heavier?

I was shopping around the other day for a new mattress and got into speaking with the salesperson about pillows and how important they are to get a good night’s rest…

He even had me try different types of pillows, based on how I prefer to sleep, to determine which one was best for me.

I told him that the best pillow I ever slept on was a feather pillow I had in my teens.

He got all excited to show me their “new” version of a feather pillow.

I asked how a feather pillow could be new…It’s probably the oldest type of material to fill pillows with!

Then, he asked me “the question”…

“Do you know why feather pillows are usually heavy and get heavier over time?”

I said, that I didn’t know why, but that I’d noticed that fact.

He said that it’s DUST MITE POOP that keeps accumulating over the years!

Okay, EWWWWWW, YUKKKKKKKK! …And we sleep on that and snuggle up to it! That can’t be healthy!

He said their “new” feather pillow has a special Continue Reading…

What the Doctor Prescribes for a Sinus Infection

Okay, so I started this sinus infection while I was visiting Dallas…I think I caught the “bug” on the plane, as they are a serious “cesspool” of germs.

It usually, in the past, takes almost 1 week for a “bug” to manifest symptoms in my body.

Being the “natural-nut” that I am, I figured I would gargle with warm salt water, as my throat was the first thing to start hurting. Then, I would blast my system with more Vitamin C than it’s seen in a while with fresh juices, etc. Sunshine and rest were on the list too.

All of the above didn’t help much, or so it seemed, as my “bug” was getting worse every day.

I started hacking and coughing, keeping me from being able to sleep, runny nose, headaches, heavy chest, labored breathing, etc. Uhhh & yukkk!

My mother has a weakened immune system right now, and I was right on top of going to the doctor the day I got home.

He asked me a few questions, looked in my throat and ears and told me I have a sinus infection.

What Did He Prescribe Me?
1. 6 days of Continue Reading…

What You Need to Know About Mersa

Have you heard of Mersa?
I work on the internet incessantly, but don’t watch much TV…

I only just learned about Mersa a few days ago…and much to my surprise, people don’t really know a lot about it definitively.

Most of what they know is the “scary stuff” from the television designed for ratings and hype.

Although most of what they discuss on television is correct, it is presented in a manner that truly is to frighten the public.

More people than you could imagine carry Mersa, first of all. You are not a “leper” if you carry Mersa, although people may look at you “sideways” and act like you are.

What is Mersa?
Mersa is a “super bug”…It is a bacteria that is a form of Staph aureus that has mutated and is now resistant to antibiotics typically used to combat Staph.

How did it arise?
Do you remember all that talk about making sure you finish ALL of your course of antibiotics when they are prescribed to you? Do you remember ever hearing about that whole controversy that doctors prescribe antibiotics when they really probably don’t need to or shouldn’t?

Well, this is why…that regular Staph bacteria has mutated into Continue Reading…
