I was reading a super interesting post today on how to bait butterflies to your yard by making an irresistible concoction that they’ll love to eat!
See original post @: Butterfly Bait: How-To Formula
Here’s the Recipe:
1 lb sugar
1-2 cans stale beer
3 mashed overripe banana
1 cup of molasses or syrup
1 cup of fruit juice
1 shot of rum
Basically, you mix all of the ingredients and using a paint brush, smear the mixture on trees, rocks, fences or stumps. They even suggest that you can soak a sponge and hang it from a tree branch.
Well, yum…that kind of sounds good, doesn’t it? LOL…
Apparently, butterflies think it’s delicious!
I can’t wait to try it out, and then I’ll let you know about our butterfly encounters!
