To me, water lilies are one of the most beautiful plants going…
So neat and wonderful to see these little sun-kissed gems in a random pond you pass by the woods in summertime…and all of those beautiful green lily pads!
Well, why not decorate your pond with gorgeous water lily delights?
Scientific Name: Nymphaeaceae
Water lily plants that are considered to be hardy, not tropical, only bloom during the day, whereas, tropical water lilies can bloom in either the day or the night.
These plants are rooted in soil, but the flowers and leaves float on top of the water. Beautiful!
They come in a wide variety of colors, many of which are fragrant as well!
Many nurseries carry water plants, as do some pet stores, as they coexist well with Koi fish.
This is just a little idea that will turn you into a weekend warrior!
